Their first "sleepover"

Emerald loved sleeping in the closet, but loved having Jessie there even more!

We were surprised at how well Calvin did with Noah. This is how they started, Calvin ended up in the closet, too (had to be just like his sis).

We enjoyed our New Year's Eve with our friends, Brian & Rene and their sweet kids, Jessie and Noah. Jessie is a little older than Emers, and Noah is about 6 months older than Cal. We were excited to find out that they are having a baby boy in May!! It is kind of neat that our kids are all so close in age to each other. The favorite part for the kids was the fact that they got to have a sleepover together. I foresee many sleepovers in my future, as that is all Emerald has talked about since.

Rene & I were college roommates and Skip & Brian were neighbors. We had fun playing K-State-opoly until nearly 3 AM! We felt it the next day! We were supposed to celebrate together last year, but we had a little too much chaos as 2008 turned to 2009. What fun to have lifetime friends!
