Mini-version of hiking......aka hiking with kids
Have I said gorgeous, beautiful, awesome enough times????
Story (below)
Zachary enjoyed borrowing Simon's stroller for our "hike"
Stopping to throw some rocks into the stream.
We have been to Telluride in the past and have enjoyed some beautiful hikes. This time around, we passed on the hiking. It just doesn't seem like that much fun fearing for injury with the kids and having them trying to keep up. Honestly, between Emerald wearing out, Calvin just being Calvin, and Zachary's age and schedule, it just didn't sound like a lot of fun! Besides, we figure there are many more trips in our future to Telluride, and we can always hike when they get a little older. There is a nice stream that runs thru Telluride, and a perfect little path that runs right alongside the stream. This was the perfect location for our kid version of hiking. We took this path from the Gondola to the city park. The kids had fun!
So, the second picture shows Calvin being a copy cat. Emerald is very into putting her hands on her hips and displaying her 4 year old attitude. Calvin, well, loves to do everything his big sis does. So, hands huffily placed on the hips, and a little sigh/grunt that goes with it! Pretty funny!!
