He is precious!

We are so excited for Sam and his parents. He brought his brand new brother, Joseph Franklin, home yesterday! He is a beautiful baby and we can't wait to meet him in person--always a joy to hold such a sweet baby boy. I hear that Sam loves helping his mom & dad take care of his new little brother. Best wishes to you guys. Joseph, you don't know how lucky you are to end up in such an amazing family!

The kids were eating breakfast and they were having so much fun together. These were just fun photos I had to share.

We just got finished playing in the snow. It is wet and sloshy out today. Emerald had a blast. We have got to get some snow boots for the adults! Her socks were dry and ours were soaked.

Calvin walking

Calvin has been sick this week. Poor little guy has been coughing and runny nose/fever. We feel awful for him. Throughout feeling yucky, his legs continue to become more stable as his steps grow by leaps and bounds. He isn't walking "all over the place" quite yet, but he is getting much better! Emerald thinks it is great fun.

Skip & I actually had a date last night. Garmin hosted a (huge) fancy dinner and we got dressed up and met some co-workers. There were 3000 people there, and they gave away great prizes. Too bad we didn't end up with a new 50" plasma TV or $500 gift cert. to Best Buy or Nebraska Furniture Mart (we could use both). Uncle Jeff did a great job wathing the kiddos for us, even though he didn't feel that good himself. Thanks Jeff!

Climbing and pouting

I wanted to show Calvin's climbing abilities. He enjoys climbing on the train table, and the bench. You will notice that I don't seem to have too many pictures of Emerald lately. She is impossible! She will beg me to get the camera, and then as soon as I do, she runs off or turns her back on me. What do you do when your 2 year old refuses to take a picture and is hard headed? I pick my battles and this is not one that seems important in our life right now. I will just have to explain to her later when she wonders why there aren't good pics of her. She did enjoy her time visiting with Pop Pop & Nana. We had our pictures taken today with Miss Angela. We can't wait to show you how they turned out. Hopefully we will see them soon. The few we previewed were awesome!
